Hi How do I account for unidentified deposits in my bank account that I eventually have to use to pay invoices when identified in another period. I created a current liability account called unidentified fees to account for these deposits when they come in so I can do the bank reconciliation. However, in the following month when the deposit is identified I cannot create a receipt that debits that current liability. I am only given the options of asset / bank accounts. How can I address this. What is the work around that will allow me to keep track of unidentified items on my bank rec and still off set the appropriate invoice / customer statement in accounts receivable.
