Non-Profit Accountant needed?
I represent a new National non-profit in Canada; office is in Calgary, AB and another Director is in Maple Ridge, BC. I'm struggling to understand if a professional accountant is required under the NFP Act in Canada, or just that Financials are done annually. Given that our books right now include just the incorporation costs and no revenue, I can't see how paying for a professional accountant to run the books makes sense.
However, if it is required, is there someone willing to give me a quote on your services? I'd prefer local to either of us, but as long as you're Canadian that's ok with me.
