Oh! And I should answer those questions!

    1. What brought you to our Community?

I was hired by Wave as a Social Media Support Specialist and split my time between the Social Media Support team and the Community Management team. Not the world's most exciting answer, I know, but it's my job to make sure our community members get the help they need and are heard. Honestly, I love it.

    1. What do you love most about what you do?

It's hard to choose one, so I'll gush a bit. I love the rhythm of it. There's always a new puzzle to solve, a conversation to be had or a project to plan.

I love the vision. It's easy to care and to believe in the job. We're working to help small businesses succeed, and that feels important. It matters.

I love the people. Both the folks I work with here at Wave HQ and our Wavers. I like people in general, I like hearing the stories they have to tell.

    1. A favourite recent recipe?

My wife made these amazing ground pork burgers yesterday. I don't know what was actually in them, but they were mind-blowing. Of my own repertoire, I have to go with sauteed Swiss chard with bacon. As a side to pork tenderloin coins, or a roast of some sort, with a glass of red wine. It's so good!

    Hello,

I'm a new real estate investor and needed a good, efficient way to track my business's finances. I was using a spreadsheet, which worked, but it was far from time efficient. I'm pretty smart, but I'm not a bookkeeper or accountant; I wanted to use an online software solution with a small start-up learning curve. After testing several services, paid and free, Wave seemed to fit what I needed to do for the cheapest price (free!). All the others had at least one feature I needed that required upgrading to a paid plan. However, I overlooked and assumed for granted a few things, one of which brings me to answer Question #1...

    1. After wasting an hour trying to figure out how to clean up my books, I came to the community looking for how to delete test/fake/dummy accounts from my chart of accounts, only to find out that it can't be done. :/ I'm hoping this is fixed because one main purpose of bookkeeping is to stay organized, which can't be done effectively with this missing basic functionality. https://community.waveapps.com/discussion/comment/3334#Comment_3334

    2. I love the thrill of helping people out of and into financial situations that seem impossible to them, just as it did to me before I started.

    3. Simple. A whole chicken baked in a bed of red potatoes and veggies. No seasoning is needed for baking, just keep it moist. At serving, I chop up some meat & spoon out some veggies, drizzle it with my hot-sauce-of-the-night, grab my chopsticks and enjoy!
